SHEAVES
FOR CHRIST IS...

Sheaves for Christ is the fundraising ministry of the General Youth Division of the United Pentecostal Church International. Since its inception in 1953, over $120 million has been raised to fund missions and ministries around the world. It is:

  • A Global missionary having the vehicle he needs to carry the gospel to the furthest regions of his country.

  • A North American missionary having a building so that he can share truth in his community.

  • A child finding healing and a future at Tupelo Children’s Mansion or Lighthouse Ranch for Boys.

  • A student pursuing her calling and Christian Education with a SFC Scholarship.

  • A family overcoming chemical dependency and finding restoration through Spirit of Freedom Ministries.

When you invest in Sheaves for Christ you intentionally share the gospel around the world!

Global Missions

Without reliable transportation, many of our missionaries would not be able to spread the Gospel into areas that have rough terrain or are far from their homes. Over 20 million dollars has been given to the Global Missions Division to purchase vehicles for missionaries. No missionary should have to forfeit evangelizing their field of burden because of insufficient transportation.

North American Missions

One of the biggest challenges for a North American missionary is purchasing or renovating property in order to have adequate facilities for church services. SFC provides grants of up to $10,000 to assist North American missionaries in purchasing property or remodeling an existing building. This is just another way that SFC helps to expand revival across North America.

Tupelo Children’s Mansion

The dissolution of the traditional family has resulted in the shattering of many young lives. With many young people subject to the problems that a broken home produces, the Mansion provides a place of solace for those who have been abandoned and abused. The General Youth Division is thrilled to partner with TCM by providing funds that support this vital ministry.

Lighthouse Ranch for Boys

The purpose of Lighthouse Ranch is to heal the broken lives of young men. This healing is accomplished through therapeutic guidance methods and by the Word of God. Through the spirit of love and caring, Lighthouse Ranch has helped steer troubled boys toward living responsible and mature lives.

Spirit of Freedom Ministries

This ministry is a non-profit Christian organization dedicated to reaching the chemically dependent and their families with the answer to their alcohol or drug-related problems, offering materials and toll-free phone lines to assist men, women, and children across North America who desire help. Spirit of Freedom works to help rescue families from the damaging effects of chemical dependency.

Division of Education

Many students feel a calling into ministry and a desire to prepare for ministry by attending Bible college. Many of these same students face challenges in raising finances for their tuition. Fortunately, SFC has given over $1 million to provide scholarships to qualified young people seeking to be trained for service in the kingdom of God. The General Youth Division is grateful for the opportunity to partner with these worthy recipients.

YOUTH MINISTRIES

Sr. Bible Quizzing (SBQ)

The General Youth Division is proud to sponsor two levels of quizzing—the Intermediate Division is open to 12-14 year-olds, and the Experienced Division involves 15-18 year-olds. In addition to this, the Youth Division produces several quizzing resources that assist teams in preparing for competitions on the district and national level.

Apostolic Youth Corps (AYC)

AYC will facilitate the pairing of North American, ministry-minded, Pentecostal youth with global destinations that need and desire evangelism assistance. AYC candidates will assist Global Missionaries, North American Missionaries, and work in cooperation with Global Campus Ministry, Campus Ministry International, Compassion Services International, and Metro Evangelism.

Campus Ministry Int'l (CMI)

CMI was formed to enable and encourage local churches to effectively reach out to the college and university populations in their vicinities with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is done by a variety of means—including motivating districts and churches to establish and maintain campus evangelism; providing materials and training to aid in the formation of these campus ministries; acting as a clearinghouse for the gathering and distribution of new information, ideas, and materials; and establishing communication and cooperation between campus ministries in our fellowship.

Hyphen Young Adult Ministry

Hyphen is the young adult ministry of the General Youth Division. The target demographic for this ministry are young adults, ages 18-30, who are graduated from high school and single. Hyphen exists to connect young adults to service…with purpose…through resources…for a mission!

INSIDEOUT Webzine

Pentecostal teens can read about culturally relevant issues from a biblical perspective in this webzine produced exclusively by the General Youth Division. INSIDEOUT features theme-based articles, book and music reviews, interviews, devotions, student ministry profiles, and much more!

The Commune-ity

The Commune-ity Meeting is geared toward empowering youth pastors and youth workers with biblically sound, relevant teaching. This newly remodeled training event inspires, informs, and equips 21st Century Apostolic youth workers with instruction and resources to impact their local ministries. The Commune-ity website also provides hundreds of free youth ministry resources.

North American Youth Congress (NAYC)

NAYC is the premier youth conference of the United Pentecostal Church International. As many as 18,000 young people attend this meeting and are exposed to inspirational preaching, teaching, singing, and great fellowship! NAYC takes place biannually in a city in North America and is anticipated with much excitement by young people and youth workers of the UPCI.

District Projects

40% of the earned SFC offering is retained in the local district to assist the funding of various projects for young people. This offering helps subsidize campground projects, Youth Conventions, Youth Camps, PK Retreats, and Young Married Seminars.
